Wooden Gear Clock 2
This is my second clock design. It is a ONE-HANDED clock with a rotating number dial that appears to float without support. I used 3D AutoCad to design this clock and from the first swing of the pendulum it has been telling near perfect time. The parts are laser-cut from 1/4" Baltic Birch Plywood.

nicely done. this should be selling in the millions, but sadly, people take their cars to go 1 mile down the road in the USA. No wonder we have an environmental catastrophy in the making.!
I think your clock is intricate and simply beautiful. I love that you are able to watch the movement of the gears and the swinging of the pendulum. For a first effort, it came out wonderful.
Great idea for distance touring in the middle of no where to make sure you get back to base when all else fails is it a bought product or did you construct it?
I know that bike path in stunningly beautiful Colorado Springs!

Cool, well done, congratulations. Do you have any idea how much (surface) solar panels you would need to fully charge the batteries? Any way to integrate them (maybe charge partly while cycling, partly when stopped/camped/expanded?)
